Biography

Charles was born in May 1854 in Connecticut. He is the son of Alex Value Kilson and Eliza Ann Kelley.

His daughter Bertha Watson Kilson was born Dec 1879 or Jan 1880.

In June 1880^[1], Charles (26) lived in Kent, Litchfield County, Connecticut with his father Value (55), mother Elisa A (64), sisters Emma (32) and Marietta (29), brother Frederick (24), and daughter Bertha Watson (5 months). All of the Kilsons are listed as Indian race. Value and Frederick worked on a farm; Elisa, Emma, and Maryett did housekeeping; and Charles worked on a coal bush.

His son Robert L Kison was born 16 May 1887.

His sister Emma died in 1892^[2] and his mother died in 1899^[3] and they were buried in Schaghticoke Tribal Burial Ground, Kent, Litchfield County, Connecticut, USA. Bertha married Michael Riley. They had a son, Earl, in 1899.

In 1900^[4], Charles (46) lived in Kent township, Litchfield, Connecticut with his father Value A (77), daughter Bertha (21), son Robert L (13), and grandson Earl S (2). Charles was divorced.

Bertha and her husband Michael had a daughter, Ethel, in 1905. Charles's father died in 1907 and was buried in Schaghticoke Tribal Burial Ground.

His daughter Bertha had two daughters in the 1910s: Julia and Katherine.

In 1920^[5], Charles (66) lived in Kent with his son Robert (33).

His daughter Bertha died in 1939.
