Gwilym was born in 1919. He was the son of Cornish emigrants to Australia William Kesseys and Margretta Mort.
He was a wicket-keeper for Western Australia. He played 13 first class matches.
He married before 1946.[1] They had 3 daughters:
- Katherine Kessey b.1946 (twin) actress, m.1972 Bill Treacher
- Karen Kessey b.1946 (twin) actress, m.1973 Alan Jones[2]
- Susan Kessey b.1951[3]
They lived on a farm in Bushmead, Western Australia.
He passed away in 1986.

Research Notes
I'm trying to reach Bill Treacher (actor, Eastenders and other British TV shows) whose named parents aren't showing up on Familysearch. Obviously I can't connect through a living person and Katherine is very much alive as of 2024.
But one more first class cricketer connected on Wikitree isn't a bad consolation.
