Biography
Nancy Ella Kerr was born 14 Sep 1847, in Lebanon (historical), Boone County, Missouri. She was a daughter of Abraham Kerr and Nancy Davis. [1]
Nancy married Ephraim Kester, 17 Aug 1869. [1] She was his second wife. In the 1900 census Nancy reported she was the mother of six children with four still living.[2]
Nancy passed away 24 Feb 1941, in Springfield, Lane County, Oregon. She is buried in the Laurel Grove Cemetery. [3]
Research Notes
- Note: On her death record she was recorded as born in Springfield, Missouri.[4] Find a Grave recorded her birth place as Dallas County, Missouri, but with no source. [3] Lebanon, Missouri is located in Laclede County. Laclede County was formed in 1849 from parts of Pulaski, Crawford, and Camden Counties. No Lebanon was found in Boone County. Springfield is about 50 miles southeast of Lebanon. Nancy's sister Elizabeth Kerr was recorded in a bio on Find a Grave as born in 1838 at Dallas County, Missouri, where it was recorded they remained until about 1847 when they moved for one year to Lawrence County, Missouri.
