General George Keppel, 3rd Earl of Albemarle was born on the 5 April, 1724. He was the son of William Ann van Keppel, 2nd Earl of Albemarle and Lady Anne Lennox. He was christened on the 4 May, 1724, St. Martin in the Fields, Westminster, London, England. He married Anne Miller, daughter of Sir John Miller, 4th Bt. and Susan Combe on the 20 April, 1770. The couple had one child. He held the office of the Lord of the Bedchamber, to the Duke of Cumberland. He held the office of Member of Parliament for Chichester between 1746 and 1754. He gained the rank of general in May, 1772.
He passed away on the 13 October, 1772, at age 48.
