Patrick was the son of James Keogh and Julia Coughlin.
Patrick Keogh, who, according to Cox's Magazine, was on the 9th of June, 1798, hanged at the town of Carlow (on the same morning as Sir Edward Crosbie, 5th Baronet), because of his connection with the United Irishmen of that period.
Although he took no active part in the movement, he was caught breaking the curfew.
