Biography

Kathryn Verna Kennelley was born on 3 Mar 1850 in Spring Mills, Gregg Township, Centre, Pennsylvania, United States, daughter of Stephen Kennelley and Sarah (Breon) Kennelley.^[1]

She was enumerated in her married sister Susan's household in 1860, in Gregg Township, Centre, Pennsylvania.^[2]

She married James H. Smetzler, son of John Smetzler and Hannah Breon, in about 1868 in Pennsylvania. They did not have had any children.

They were living in Potter Township, Centre, Pennsylvania in 1870.^[3]

In 1880, they lived in Spring Mills, Centre, Pennsylvania, only a few doors down from her widowed mother.^[4]

In 1900 and 1910 they were renting a house in Centre Hall, Potter Township, Centre, Pennsylvania, where her husband was working as a railroad track foreman.^[5][6]

In 1920, James was no longer working. Presumably, he had retired. They were still renting the house in Center Hall, though.^[7]

Kathryn died on 18 Nov 1920 in Centre Hall, Centre, Pennsylvania aged 70.^[1] She was interred there at the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery.^[8]
