Biography

IN refs give as Kemer or Kemmer; marriage cert looks like Ramer or Ranier. History of Indiana gives Kenner! Says natives of Coshocton Co., OH (!) 1850 Census gives place of birth as Ohio, so do later censuses, also IN refs. LJ Eley death certificate gives birthplace PA. per gravestone d. 1904; Hist of Marshall Co. says lived to age 83! Can't write per 1880 census.

Marshall Co. Health Dept. death info for Lorenzo Dow ELEY gives her name as Hannah KAMMLE, born in PA.

Bell "Ealy" article gives her name as Hannah KEMMERER.

Obituary says she had 9 children (I only show 8)!

Funeral ordered by Mrs. E. Mollenhour and May Eley. Age 82 y, 3m, 2d. Died Sept. 9, 1904 (lived in Mentone, IN). Buried 11 Sep. 1904, Sycamore Cemetery.

Who is May ELEY??? Doesn't seem to match wives of her sons or those of Lewis or Homer or kids...

Mrs. E. Mollenhour is Hannah's daughter Nancy Annabelle.

Rochester Sentinel (from Tombaugh/Fulton books): Thursday, September 15, 1904 Hannah ELEY, of Newcastle township, died Friday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed. [Belle ELEY] MOLENHOUR, of Mentone. Interment was made Sunday at Sycamore cemetery. (Talma item) [1822-1904]
