Biography

Mary Jane was born c1839 based on her age at death. According to the Victorian Death Index she is the daughter of James and Osley (nee Irvine) Kelly.

She married William Draffin in 1868 in Victoria, Australia.^[1] Their children were:

• Sarah Draffin (1869–1926)
• David Draffin (1870–?)
• James Draffin (1873–?)
• John Draffin (1876–?)
• George Francy Draffin (1878–1948)
• Osley Margaret Draffin (1880–1929)
• Anne Rebecca Draffin (1883–?)

Mary died in 1912 in North Melbourne, Victoria, aged 73 years.^[2], at her daughter's residence, 81 Courtney Street, North Melbourne^[3]

Her remains were buried on 18 November 1912 at the Coburg General Cemetery.^[4]
