Janet or "Jonetta" was the daughter and co-heiress of William Keith.[1][2][3] She was co-heiress through her mother of the Galbraiths.
She married, firstly, Sir David Hamilton, 3rd of Cadzow, 3rd Lord Cadzow,[1][2][3] son of David FitzWalter, 2nd Lord Cadzow and Margaret Ross before 1370. They had six children:
This Janet should not be confused with another Janet Keith who also had a father named William. That Janet married Philip de Arbuthnot. [7]

The Peerage: Janet Keith, cites Cokayne[8] but reference does not mention Janet rather only her husband and possible son. Cokayne references Scots Peerage.[3]
