Biography

Hans was born in 1868 in Switzerland.^[1] He arrived in New York in 1887.^[2](listed next to an Otto Welti, age 21.)

When Hans was about 26 he married Mary Falb on 18 December 1894 in Fayette, Iowa, USA]. ^[3]The couple had 4 children: Edith K Keiser and Harry J Rudolph Keiser.

In the 1900 census Hans (age about 32) was living in Pleasant Valley, Fayette, Iowa and working as the postmaster. ^[1] He and Mary remained there the rest of their lives.

Hans died at 69 years of age on 23 September 1936 in Elgin, Fayette, Iowa.^[4][5] He was buried in Elgin, Fayette County, Iowa.^[6]
