Lucian Ernest Keily, Jr. was born to Lucian Ernest Keily and Julia Porter Hull Keily in McCool, Attala, Mississippi on May 16, 1920. He was the only child to this marriage. His parents divorced when he was an infant, his father returning to El Paso, Texas and his mother to Mississippi.
His mother married Gail Trenneau Brown 3/16/1926, and his name was changed to Edwin Hull Brown. It is unknown if his name was changed legally or informally via usage. Edwin, his mother and step-father lived in Russia for two or three years. In 1929, they departed Bremen, Germany and arrived in New York, New York on October 21, 1929.[1]

In 1930, Edwin was living with his grandparents, Oscar Van Hull, Sr. and Julia Sebell Porter Hull in Louisville, Winston, Mississippi. [2]
He visited his aunt and uncle, Sudie Mae Hull (Hull- ) Thompson and Woodward Thompson (Thompson- ) in Tela, Honduras and returned from that visit August, 30, 1931 at New Orleans, Orleans, Louisiana. [3]
In 1940, Edwin and his mother Julia were living with Edwin's stepfather, Hunter Ledbetter Scales in Starkville, Oktibbeha, Mississippi. [4]
Edwin attended the University of Mississippi from ( to ) and was a junior at the Cumberland Law School in 1941 and a senior in 1942. He passed the Mississippi State Bar while at Cumberland [5]
He married Margery Catledge (Catledge-18) on ? in Louisville, Winston, County, Mississippi. Their only child, Susan, was born February 13, 1947 in Columbus, Lowndes, Mississippi where Edwin was practicing law.
Edwin either re-enlisted or was re-activated for the Korean War and he and family lived in East Point, Georgia while he was stationed at Fort McPherson. He was deployed to Okinawa in 19?? . When discharged, he did not return to this family. Edwin filed for divorce on a few occasions, but Margery contested each. In 19??, a divorce was finalized in Winston, Mississippi.
Edwin married Rose Mary Stephens on May 18, 1985 in Reno, Washoe, Nevada [6]
He died on April 21, 2011 and is buried in Bay Pines National Cemetery, BayPines, Pinellas, Florida. [7] and obituary published April 27, 2011 in the St. Petersburg Times.
