Biography

Scottish flag
Robert Keillor was born in Scotland.

Robert Kydd Mill Keillor was born on 12 February 1877 at 13 Stuart Street, St Vigeans, Forfarshire, Scotland. He was the son of Thomas Keillor and his wife Margaret Hemsworth. [1]

He passed away on Tuesday 16 October 1917 at Dunkirk, Nord, France during WWI. When serving on H.M.S. Attentive III, he was drowned at Dunkirk dock while he was returning to duty during an air raid.  It is believed that in the darkness he slipped over the edge of the dock, and although a powerful swimmer, it is supposed he had been stunned by the fall and unable to recover himself.
