Biography

George was born in 1789 in Richmond County, North Carolina.[1][2]

In 1816, George married Margaret Keahey in Wayne County, Mississippi. George and Margaret were double first cousins. Their fathers were MacKeachey brothers and their mothers were Jackson sisters.

George and Margaret had 11 childen:

Around 1835, George and Martha moved up the road to Scott County, Mississippi, where George obtained a land patent for 240 acres of farmland.[3][4][5]. He later obtained additional properties there.[6][7]

George passed away in 1878 in Scott County, Mississippi and is buried, with Martha, at Hillsboro Baptist Church Cemetery there..[2]
