Peg (Kavanagh) Kearns is an Anzac who served in World War Two.
Biography
Margaret Kavanagh was born on the 9th of July, 1912.[1] She was the daughter of Thomas Kavanagh and Alice Watson. Margaret was 5 feet tall with brown hair and hazel eyes.[2]
Margaret served as a nurse in Palestine and New Guinea during World War Two. At the time of her enlistment she was living in Victoria St, Berry. Margaret attained the rank of Captain in December of 1943. She married Captain Francis Edward (Frank) Kearns in St Vincent's Catholic Church, Ashfield on the 11th of April, 1945.[3][4][5][6] On the 23rd of Nov, 1945, her papers record that she was pregnant ('cyesis').

Captain Kearns has served in New Guinea and the Solomons. Miss Janet Grant will attend Sister Kavanagh at her wedding.
