This is my 3rd GGrandmother I know for sure her father is Robert Davis JR because of a prewedding document between parents....that is shown in my Ancestry tree.

ELIZABETH DAVIS 1806–1903 BIRTH FEB 1806 • Virginia, USA DEATH 22 JUL 1903 • Tyler, West Virginia, USA 3rd great-grandmotherView Notes She married Leonard Kelch 1803–1876 BIRTH 21 JAN 1803 • Pennsylvania, USA DEATH 06 NOV 1876 • Tyler, West Virginia, USA

At the moment my davis family is a mess as I changed wives to Robert Davis from Mary White to Mary Coon/Koon because I had DNA matches. All the trees have different names and everyone is confused so I am going to disconnect everyone and start over. I thought I might find some information here. I have tested my DNA and and am on Gedmatch, Ancestry, Fa

Hi Linda,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi, Linda

Thank you, for signing the Honor Code. Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page.

Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is a great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers. Sheryl ~WikiTree Greeter

Hi Linda,

The kind of confusion you talk about is the exact reason I came to WikiTree five years ago. Ancestry offers family trees as evidence, but often they have no support at all. We're glad you're here. If you need help, click on reply under our comments. Otherwise, enjoy the journey.

 :)
