Michael (Kaminer) Curtiz is Notable.
Hungarian-born Michael Curtiz was a highly successful Hollywood film director. He won an Oscar for directing Casablanca. Other well-known films he directed were: White Christmas, Mildred Pierce and Yankee Doodle Dandy.
In 1905, he changed his name to Mihály Kertész, with the intention of appearing more Hungarian and less Jewish
Came to the US in 1926, Anglicizing his name to Michael Curtiz
