H Kirkland Jones is a part of US Black heritage.

Harold Kirkland Jones was born in 1936 in Chicago. He was the son of Ollie Jones and Alice Williams.^[1] In 1940 he was living in Chicago with his mother and two sisters.^[2]

He moved to California in the late 1950s. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco and earned his law degree from UC Hastings. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1973.^[3]

H. Kirkland Jones dedicated his bench career to the juvenile justice system. From 1975 he served in the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. In 1988 he was elected a Superior Court Commissioner in Los Angeles. He retired in March 2005.^[3]

He passed away in 2007. He was survived by a wife and two children.^[4][3]
