Jean Joly migrated from France to New France.
Jean was born about 1646 in St-Denis, Nantes, Bretagne, son of René Joly and of Mathurine Dupas.
Marriage
Jean Joli married Marguerite Amiot, daughter of Mathieu Amiot de Villeneufve and Marie Miville, on 19 Jun 1670 in Notre-Dame de Québec. In the presence of known witnesses Charles Aubert de la Chesnays, Jean Maheu, Étienne Blanchart de la Rose, and François Miville. The celebrant priest was Henri de Bernières.[1]

Death and Burial
Jean Jolly passed away being given the age of around 45 years on the record. His burial was on 5 Oct 1691 in Notre-Dame parish cemetery of Québec. In the presence of known witnesses Toussaint Dubaus and Joseph Pinguet. The officiating priest was F. Dupré. [3]
