Biography

Mary Johnstone was baptised 31 Dec 1826 in Annan, Dumfries, Scotland. [1] [2] On 21 Sep 1852, Samuel Burrows and Mary Johnstone were married by license. The minister was William Cattenay and witnesses were Robert Johnstone, Thomas Burrows and William Johnstone. [3] On the 1881 census, Samuel and Mary were living in Lot 25 with John A (25), Caroline (22), Adah (20), Bertha (16) and Mary (13). [4] In 1891 they lived with their son John in Lot 23, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada. [5] Mary died 25 Jan 1898 in Wilmot Valley, Prince, Prince Edward Island and was buried in North Bedeque United Cemetery, North Bededque, Prince Edward Island. [6] [7]
