Corydon was born about 1845. He is the son of James Johnson and Olive Hyatt. He does not appear to ever been married. His father is listed in his pension record. Corydon enlisted in the L Battery, 2nd Illinois Artillery on 28 Feb 1862. He passed away in 1863. Burial in Vicksburg National Cemetery, Vicksburg, Mississippi.[1]

In the 1860 census, Cordon (age 15) was in Buffalo, Ogle, Illinois, United States.[2]

Corydon was in a pension record in 1880.[3]
