Mary Gertrude Godschall Johnson was born about 1900. She was the daughter of Ralph Godschall Johnson and Mary Eleanor unknown. [1] She was a great granddaughter of Ralph Edward Godschall Johnson (1812-1876), who migrated to Queensland about 1854 became clerk assistant to the Legislative Council in Queensland. Ralph was the son of Son of Godschall Johnson (c1790-1857), a London financier and slave-owner, and his first wife Elizabeth Hodges.
She became a nurse.
Mary married Charles Davidson on 21st December 1929 in St Thomas’ Church of England (now Anglican Church), North Sydney. [2]
When Charles was knighted in 1964, Mary became entitled as Lady Davidson.
Aged about ninety years and having been widowed for five years, she passed away on 13th September 1990 in Brisbane. [3]
