Biography

Andrew Johnson was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)

Andrew was born on the 10 December 1846 in the suburb of Moonee Ponds, City of Melbourne, Colony of Victoria, Australia^[1]. He was the son of Henry Charles Johnson and Elizabeth "Betsy" Murray. His baptism took place in January 1847 at St. James Pioneer Church, William and Little Collins Streets (now demolished), in the City of Melbourne, Colony of New South Wales, Australia^[2].

On the 14 July 1873, Andrew married Elizabeth Cochrane Miller in the suburb of Moonee Ponds, City of Melbourne, Colony of Victoria, Australia^[3]. The couple had the following children during their marriage:--
