Elizabeth (Johns) Brosius was born on 25 Apr 1826, daughter of Samuel H. Johns (1801–1882) and Magdalena Elizabeth (Neil) Johns (1798–1881).

Elizabeth married Michael (Brosious) Brosius (born on 13 Apr 1824 in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States; son of Michael Brosius and Cathrina Elizabeth (Delp) Brosius). Their known children were:
