Thomas Jenkinson was born around 1822, the son of Ann Jenkinson (nee Christie) and William Jenkinson.

He married Mary Barclay in 1848 at St Stephens in Portland, Victoria, Australia.^[1] Their daughter was:^{[citation needed]}
