Biography

Isaac and Dorety James are recorded as the parents of Easter James in Wayne County, Kentucky in 1803.[1]'.

Newberry and Isaac as well as Esther James Norton show up early in Tippah County, Mississippi. Daughter, Dorothy James married in 1805 in Rutherford County, Tennessee to Jesse F. Osborn in 1805. This family has ties to Giles County, Tennessee as well as Limestone County, Alabama.

There are several Isaac James recorded in North Carolina, Tennessee, and South Carolina. It is difficult to discern who is who most of the time. The two marriage records confirm this Isaac is the husband of Dorety. Both Isaac and Dorothy provide their birthplace as South Carolina on the 1850 census. Newberry and Esther state their birthplace as North Carolina in the 1850 census.

The descendants of Isaac James (1786-1851) have many many shared matches with descendants of Newberry James, Esther James Norton, and Dorothy James Osborn. I can't record them here due to privacy.
