On 1 April 1910, when he was sixty-nine, William died of unknown causes in Hocking County, Ohio.[10] The old man in the picture taken in Hocking Co(?) "Some distant cousins" marking on back of pic. FOOT cem marker.[11]
He is buried in Starr, Hocking County, Ohio, USA.[12]
