Biography

Nancy Jackson was born in 1756 to parents Stephen Jackson Esq. (1700-1765) and Anna (Boone) Jackson (1709-1782) ^[1]. The source of her exact birth date is unknown.

Nancy married three times. Her first husband was John Angell (1755–1787), they married in 1785, and they do not appear to have had children during their brief marriage ^[2][3]. In 1790, she married Brigadier General Simeon Thayer (1737-1800) ^[4], who was an American hero during the Revolutionary War; BGen. Thayer had previously married her older sister, Judith Jackson (1738-1771). Nancy's third and file marriage in 1803 was to Darius Daniels (1740–1832) ^[5], which lasted just seven months and ended when she died in 1803.

Nancy Daniels died in 1803 ^[6] and is buried at the North Burial Ground in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island ^[7], along with her husband BGen. Simeon Thayer.
