Hugh Jackson was a weaver and a merchant of Scottish-Irish descent. His parents are not known [2] The name of his wife is not known but he did have four sons, one was Andrew Jackson who immigrated to the United States [3]

I have family tradition that Christopher Jackson 1768-1831 was is 2nd Cousin to President Andrew Jackson but have no proof. It is mentioned in "Daviess County, Kentucky History" p.126-127 published 1883 (available on Google Docs). Also have a land deed signed by Andrew Jackson giving Christopher Jackson 80 acres while he was President. Would like to put something concrete together but there is not information on Andrew Jackson's paternal lineage past grandfather.
Can you please share Andrew's siblings' names ? Am wondering if one of them is Samuel who also emigrated ?
