She was born in Pierce County, WI, and for the past 21 years she had made her home in Washington and Oregon, the last 14 years in Rogue River valley. During the first World War, five of her sons served their country and 14 of her grandchildren are eligible for the present draft. The Red Cross gave her an award in recognition of
