Albert Rand Ingalls, 85, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in Titusville, Florida following an extended illness.
He leaves his wife of 27 years, Cynthia (Bisbee) Ingalls; brother Lee Ingalls of Melrose, MA; sister Michelle Potter of Hudson, NH; daughter Karen Cesarini of Londonderry, NH; daughter Julia Ingalls of Boston, MA; son Gary Ingalls of Port St. Lucie, FL; son Christopher Ingalls of Malden, MA; stepdaughter Victoria Bisbee of Winter Park, FL; stepson William L. Skaggs II of Orlando, FL; 13 grandchildren, and many close friends. Born in Malden, Massachusetts on May 8, 1932, Mr. Ingalls was raised in Malden and lived in the area until 1951 when he joined the U.S. Navy, serving his country for four years. He is predeceased by his father, Albert F. Ingalls (1908-1982), his mother, Hazel Louise (Rand) Ingalls (1909-1946), his stepmother Dorothy (Smith) Ingalls (1916-1999) and his sister Catherine Fournier (1950-2008). Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, Mr. Ingalls returned to Massachusetts and worked as a quality control engineer for Raytheon’s missile systems program for 25 years. The job relocated him and his family to various parts of Texas as well as Paris, France. Mr. Ingalls was later employed by Martin Marietta (now Lockheed Martin) and McDonnell Douglas, both in Florida. He was an avid athlete, playing baseball in the Navy and later taking up golf, playing frequently for many years.
