The Red Ensign (aka Queen Anne's Flag) was the British Colonial Flag in use at the start of the American Revolution.

The Continental Flag (aka the Grand Union flag), which Washington flew over the Patriot army in 1776, at first simply added 6 white stripes to the Red Ensign. Later the upper left canton was replaced with a pattern of stars beginning it's evolution into the 'stars and stripes' we know today.

The Pass & Stow Bell had little real significance in the events of 1776 (although it did hang in Independence Hall at that time); it nonetheless has been absorbed into the mythology of the American Revolution. For easy identification, the bell is shown with it's distinctive crack - however that crack didn't exist until after ~1817.
