Biography
George was 1st married to Mary Barrett 1773-1808 and then married his cousin Christena Ihle 1786-1845, he had one child by Mary and six by Christena. Wrote his will June 4, 1855, named Martin Ealy and Silas Sprowls as executors.[1]
Whenever George chose to sign his name it appears he signed it in German as “Gorg Ihli” or “Gurg Ihli”. Though on most documents he just made an X or some other mark.
