Anton Edward b. 1870, immigrated to the US in 1891, died Dec 1944, aged 74 years.
He was a veteran of the Philippine–American War and was stationed in the Philippine Islands; he appears at the US barracks in Manila in the 1900 US Census[4]
Grandmother (Anna Marie Carlson Helgren), Victor, Inez and Hilda came to America together in 1892. They were met at the Minneapolis railroad station by Aunt Ellen, and Uncle Ed and Grandpa joined them later. After staying in Minneapolis from April till October they moved up to their permanent home in Clarissa, Minnesota. They rented the old Lundmark farm for almost three years before buying their own permanent farm land.[5]
