Biography

abt 1817 Born in Exeter, Devonshire

19 Mar 1853 Aged 36, arrived in Sydney Harbour onboard the Bussorah Merchant as a single female. She was listed as a needlewoman.[1]

She was employed by Henry Moreing in Braidwood, however was accused of absconding by July and a caution was published in The Goulburn Herald. She was described as a native of Exeter, 38 years of age, about 5 feet 2 inches high, dark complexioned, and pitted with the small pox, a free emigrant by the ship Bussorah Merchant[2]
