Biography

Zerviah Hyde was born on December 15, 1740 in Lebanon, New London, Connecticut Colony, daughter of Samuel Hyde (1691–1776) and Priscilla Bradford (1702–1778).^[1]

Zerviah (17) married Andrew Metcalf (21) (born on December 5, 1736 in Lebanon; son of Benjamin Metcalf and Sarah (Abell) Metcalf) on September 20, 1758 in Bozrah, New London.^[2] Their children were:

• Priscilla Metcalf (1759–1850)
• Jabez Metcalf (1761–1792)
• Luke Metcalf (1764– )
• Salome Metcalf (>1764–>1829)
• Hannah Metcalf (1774–1811)

Zerviah died on January 4, 1829 in Lebanon, Connecticut, United States, aged 88. She was buried in Goshen Cemetery, Lebanon, New London County, Connecticut.^[1]
