I am just learning this so I am open to guidance. I have trees on Ancestry, MyHeritage, 23andMe and family search that are all public-Husted/Jones. I would like to be able to find records for marriages and possible other children for my father Richard Edwin Husted (3 marriages) and mother Donna Mae Jones (6 marriages) and grandfather Clinton Greenleaf Husted (6? marriages)
Sorry, but it might be a while until I can get back to you.

Sego, I have proposed merges of the profiles you created for William Husted and Waity Taft as the profiles already exist. In order for you to be properly connected in the tree, we must need a merge of Huested-73 and Husted-1286 to occur. We don't need to create additional profiles.
Do you have any documentation for the maiden name of William's wife? This is commonly seen but I have found no documentation for it.
Just got your message. My messages aren't working right in mail. How do I get to the merge message? I didn't mean to double them up but couldn't find a duplicate before I put them in. I have a list of children for Ella and Daniel and Emily and Daniel. The only record I have actually seen Waiti's name on is the 1860 NY-US Federal- census. On the 1855 NY State census, her name is transcribed as Nate Husted-wife, or the other way around. It may be easier if we talk on the phone as I am getting frustrated with trying to find what I am looking for without losing what I am working on. I am not certain the H belongs as Williams middle initial-he is listed as William in Palmer Families in America.
Sorry to hear you are having problems getting emails from the WikiTree system. Is there a chance they are going to your spam folder? The system will send those messages to whatever email address is found in your profile when you established the account. Send an email to info [at - replace this with @] wikitree.com and ask them to confirm which email the system is using and how to change it if the system has a wrong or old email for you. Make sure to tell them your account number is Husted-1281 when you write.
My question about Waity is the maiden name. I have never been able to find any documentation that it is Taft.
I gave your name to the WikiTree Mentor program and they should shortly have a volunteer who can help you with some of these things. The volunteer will send an email to whatever address the system has for you but they should also post a Comment on this page to which you can reply.
It's my computer that seems to have the problem. I am getting messages on my tablet. I have only used one email. I will see if I can talk to my cousin that is a generation closer to her to see if she can get hold of another cousin's/uncle's research. Perhaps something will show up there.
We are related through Garret Walls Mikesell/ Ruth Cunningham. This relation is on My Mother's side. I was very surprised by this, as I never knew My Grandfather Burton Scott, I heard He was Mormon, but, never knew the extent of Our Ancestors as Pioneers in the Faith, very bewildering to Me.
I struggled with this, as a Grandmother on My Father's side (another Mikesell) was also related to Your and My Grandfather Garret Walls Mikesell. The DNA relatives were many.
I see You are very specific in Your search....keep putting it out there, it will come together.
On my family search tree the next one up is John Aylor Mikesell 1748-1858/ Catherine Mikesell 1784-1851. Would they have been cousins? His dad is John Meixel 1752-1827 and her dad is Jacob Mikesell (name changes one gen back). I am trying to organize my matches on Ancestry and am running into a puzzle- my Husted line seems to be connected somehow to my Hodges/Mikesell line and my Jones/Heninger line. I haven't done much with this site yet but will add to my tree when I verify things for myself. I am actually swinging from branch to branch trying to tie it all together. Would you be able to let me know how you fall from Garrett and Ruth? I am trying to fill in siblings and spouses so I can visualize where a person belongs in my tree when I connect with them. Thank you-Sego
YES! They were 1st Cousins.
I go from John Aylor Mikesell, Garret Walls Mikesell, **Louisa Catherine Mikesell-Mowery- Scott ( explain later), Sarah Ann Mowery-Scott***, Joseph Volney Grant Scott, Burton Scott, my Mother.
Louisa Catherine Mikesell-Mowery, She became a Scott, because, She married Her Daughters Father-in law (as a widow) YES! My other Grandfather. Talk about confusing...LOL!

I replied back on email enclosed my number call after 4 if you want, text any time and I will try to answer. It's taking me a while to figure out the messaging system on here. I did get your messages -thank you.
Hi Sego, yes I got the handout, it ended up in my iMessages instead of email (I think because it came from your cell). It looks like a printout from Family Tree Maker software. In the sources and in the biography, you'll see there is lots of commentary/speculation on Robert Husted's profile re: his origins. I think we'll possibly know his parents some day but there's just not the paper trail yet. I'm working on the more recent Husteds in your line.
I just sent you two new pages from my phone. I found a granddaughter from my dad's 1/2 sister Ethel Louise Husted / Lauritsen from Edith Minerva Cutter. Ethel had been adopted out of the family to a Carlin surname. As you can see from my scribbles, my mind hops all over the place.
You can upload a GEDCOM to check if your family are already on WikiTree this uses comparisons that you need to check. However it can be just as quick to add your family one at a time. This will allow you to review the information as you add it.
You could try adding a small file and see how the GEDCOMpare process works and add more if you wish later.
I don't know how to do that so I was trying to put them in. My mom's parents, Iris Richard jones and Anna Laura Hodges, are already on here as is my great grandfather on dad's side, Edward Edwin Husted. I put their names in and picked the profile that fit so I wouldn't create double and get told I am not on the Trusted list- when I go to exit the page it asks leave or cancel- changes won't be saved? I don't want to do something wrong so I am stuck on the page?
Hilary is off duty now, so it is my pleasure to thank you for upgrading, 😊

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.
Take care
