Biography
Lavinia Husong was born about 1814 in Illinois Territory. She died at an unknown age.
Her first husband was a "John Giger", about whom nothing is known but his name. She married him Sep. 16, 1847 in Madison county, Illinois. [1] He presumably died before Lavinia, as "Mrs. Lavinia Giger", married Silas McCann in 1853.
- One thing to note is that the Giger family seems to have a lot of connections to the Deck family, which is the family that Silas' sister Rachel married into. This "John Giger" was probably part of that family, but that is certainly not proven at this time.
