Samuel Cole is listed in 2 households in the 1850 census. His children: Samuel, Holbert, Oliver, Anna, and Sally are in house 990 in 1850 and are still in his home with second wife, Catherine, in 1860. It is unclear why there is a discrepancy in birth year and state in the 1850 census.
Steven, merges should always be merged into earliest profile created, assuming the surname is correct. This is standard policy for Wikitree Merges.

Please see: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Merging#Merging_multiple_duplicates

I did initiate two correct Merges. Please check the final profile.

Renae, I see that you have good intentions and I hope you don't mean it when you say "I wish I could delete every entry I have made." The focus of WikiTree is to *make* connections to family, near and far, not *break* them; I hope that you are proud of your heritage and that your family should be as well ... pleased to see that you've taken the time to document and memorialise those that went before us. Please make as many profiles as public as you feel comfortable with so that we can all connect. Yes, WikiTree profiles often show up in Google searches, but your family members will also be found in the U.S. Census listings, FindaGrave, published obits, Ancestry.com, etc., ... a large number of places. Its hard to hide these days! Please publish those photographs ... love to see them!

I wish I could delete every entry I have made. It was not my intention to be reckless or ruin this project. I am a descendent of Parmenas Cole and found some great pictures in my grandparents' belongings. My only reason for becoming involved was to have an avenue to share these with other family members. I am clearly in over my head. I increased the privacy level as much as I could after discovering my living family members names in a google search tied to wikitree. They did not ask to have their information shared. As I update information on deceased family members, I will change their privacy levels. Thank you for your help.
Thank you, Steven, for your additions to Bethsheba Hurt. A descendant of her brother, Nathan, married into my Philpott family. The Hurts and the Philpotts were connected to Stone families in Virginia. It's a work in progress and I appreciate your additions.
