Alexander Stirling Hunter was born at the village of Coalsnaughton in the parish of Tillicoultry in the county of Clackmannanshire in Scotland on 23 June 1795. [1]
He was baptised at the family home in Coalnaughton on 27 June 1795 with several witnesses. The baptism was the first in the parish to be performed by the new minister, Alexander Stirling and as was traditional in such cases, he was named Alexander Stirling Hunter after the minister. [1]
Alexander Stirling Hunter died on 28 March 1862 at the town of Musselburgh in the parish of Inveresk & Musselburgh in the county of Midlothian in Scotland. [2]
