Calvin Jellison Hunnewell was born at Saint Stephen, New Brunswick, 23 Feb 1837, the son of Jonathan Hunnewell and Susanna Hall; ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]} enlisted in Co. E, 6th Regiment, Maine Volunteer Infantry at Portland, Maine, 15 Jun 1861; ^[5] killed in action at the Second Battle of Rappahannock Station, Virginia, 7 Nov 1863, ^{[6] [7]} and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. ^[8]
