Mary Hunnewell was born on 27 November 1779 in Windham, Maine. Her parents were Elijah Hunnewell and Rebecca (Locke) Hunnewell^[1].

She married John Swett on 27 March 1803. They had eight children, all born in Windham:

1. John, born 12 Jul 1804; died 1806

2. Caroline, born 13 Nov 1807; died 1811

3. John, born 31 Aug 1809; died 1811

4. Mary A., born 12 Dec 1810; died 1811
