Guy was born in 1823. He was the son of Guy Hulett.
Guy was an early settler in Rockton, Winnebago County.
In 1848 he bought 40 acres in Winnebago County. [2]
Guy had a medical practice for many years in Rockton, Illinois. In 1850 he left for California. [3] His wife stayed behind with their son Cass, living with her brother Amos. [4]
Guy was involved in an effort to build a railway between Rockford and Chicago. Stennett, William H. [5][6]
They moved to Kansas before 1860. They later moved to Colorado.
Guy served with the Colorado 3rd Infantry in the Civil War.

According to FindAGrave Guy committed suicide in 1868. However, an article in Rockford Star says he died of tuberculosis. [8]
