He was born to the parents of Margaret Elizabeth Wilkinson and John Hughes. He was baptised on the 24th of Oct 1824, at Uffington, Berkshire, England.^[1] He married Elizabeth Howard Courtenay, daughter of Anne Wynell-Mayow and the Rt. Hon. Thomas Peregrine Courtenay, on the 18th of August 1853.^[2] They were married at Tormohun, Devon, England.^[3]He was the Vicar at Longcot, Oxfordshire, England. He died at the age of 70, on the 22nd of May 1895, citing Death, Faringdon (Berkshire), Berkshire, England.^[4]
