Hannah was born on the 16 March 1859 at Toll End, Dudley Port, Parish of Tipton, in the Market Town of Dudley, District of Dudley, in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, in Worcestershire, West Midlands, England[1]. She is the daughter of Iron Moulder, John (Hughes) and Harriet (Backhouse), who married on the 25 October 1846 at the Parish Church of Saint Thomas (aka Top Church), High Street, in the Market Town of Dudley, Worcestershire & Staffordshire, West Midlands, England[2].

Residence

We find Hannah, on the night of the Census Record of 1861, living with parents John (Hughes) and Harriet (Backhouse), along with siblings Thomas, Elizabeth, Mary and Daniel (Hughes). They reside at Bridge Road, in the Market Town of Dudley, 5.5 miles (8.9 km) southeast of the City of Wolverhampton, in Worcestershire & Staffordshire, West Midlands, England[6]. For some reason, she disappears from the Census Record of 1871.

With the Census of 1881, Thomas (Parsons) has married Hannah (Hughes) and the couple are living with children Harriet and Thomas (Parsons) at 5 Craggs Street, in the Town of Middlesbrough, in Yorkshire (North Riding), England[7]. In 1891, Thomas and Hannah live with children Harriet, Thomas, Isaac, William, Albert and Bertram (Parsons) at 16 Upper Oxford Street, in the Town of South Bank, on the south bank of the River Tees, Parish of Normanby, 3 miles (4.8 km) east of the Market Town of Middlesbrough and 6 miles (9.7 km) south-west of the seaside Town of Redcar, District of Middlesbrough, in Yorkshire (North Riding), England[8].

The family have moved once again with the Census Record of 1901 to 1 Sea View Terrace, in the Village of Eston, Parish of Grangetown Easton, District of Middlesbrough, in Yorkshire (North Ridiing), England. Thomas and Hannah live there with children Isaac, William, Albert, Elsie, Edwin and Harold (Parsons)[9]. In 1911, Thomas and Hannah have moved to 24 Upper Oxford Street, in the Town of South Bank, on the south bank of the River Tees, Parish of Normanby, 3 miles (4.8 km) east of the Market Town of Middlesbrough and 6 miles (9.7 km) south-west of the seaside Town of Redcar, District of Middlesbrough, in Yorkshire (North Riding), England. Only children Elsie, Edwin and Harold (Parsons) are still at home with them[10].

Death/Burial

Hannah (Hughes) passes away on the 10 June 1929 at 24 Upper Oxford Street, in the Town of South Bank, on the south bank of the River Tees, Parish of Normanby, 3 miles (4.8 km) east of the Market Town of Middlesbrough and 6 miles (9.7 km) south-west of the seaside Town of Redcar, District of Middlesbrough, in Yorkshire (North Riding), England. She was 70 years old at the time and the cause of death will be on her Certificate[11]. Her burial takes place on the 13 June 1929 at the Eston Cemetery, 75 High Street,in the Town of Eston, in the District of Middlesbrough, Borough of Redcar and Cleveland, in Yorkshire (North Riding), England. The location of her grave is in Section G; Grave number 122[12][13].
