Biography

Francis Hughes was born in Ireland.

Francis Hughes (1839-1870) was born in Ireland around 1839. He was the son of Michael Hughes & his wife Mary. ^[1]

He was living on Saltney Street in Liverpool, Lancashire when he married Ellen Heeney at St Augustine's Catholic Church in Liverpool on the 23rd July 1860. ^{[1] [2]}

They lived on Maghull Street in Liverpool with Ellen's family for several years ^[3] at least until 1866 when one of their daughters died ^[4] but moved to Shaws Alley, Liverpool before 1870.

It was there that Francis died in March 1870 ^{[5] [6]} and he was buried in Anfield Cemetery in a public grave on the 9th March 1870. ^{[6] [7]}
