My family tree on the Hughes side was created by my sister a good few years ago before PCs - footslogging,gravestones etc! Hence it may be accurate in it's way but lacking the details that can be gained with the help of modern technology, I am now trying both to clarify and increase the information available using modern techniques and cross-referencing. I am happy to share my knowledge with anyone who wishes to contact me.

My parents were Isabel and John Stanley Hughes, I was born and bred in Liverpool/Bootle. I had a twin sister,Jean Isobel and an elder sister,Brenda Edith. We were all teachers. Our father was a bricklayer and our mother was a bookeeper before she married. My twin sister,Jean, died in 2014. Both my elder sister,Brenda and myself live on the Wirral. I am married to Christine Hobson from Denbydale, West Yorkshire. We have one child,Brian David born in 1971 in Wales {Bagillt). He lives in Houston Texas and works in oil as a geophysisist, He has three children,Carolina Christine,Anna Victoria and David Brian.
