Bettie Brazeal Rites Held Sunday; Burial In Unity Grove Cemetery Bettie S. Hughes Brazeal, age 75, passed away Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Care Center of Vernon. Mrs. Brazeal was a retired healthcare worker and a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from the Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel. Officiat-ing was Bro. Tommy Hughes. Burial followed in Unity Grove Cemetery in the Palmetto Community under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home, Millport, Alabama. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Brazeal, Kennedy, Alabama; one son, Jack Brazeal, Fayette, Alabama; two sisters, Geneva McDaniel and Evelyn Skelton both of Reform, Alabama; 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; one brother, Tommy Hughes, Palmetto. Pallbearers were Joe Brazeal, Ricky Knight, Bobby McDaniel, Kirby Michaels, Brian Nadin, Wayne Wilkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Jackson Brazeal.
