Biography

George Henry Huff, the son of Solomon Sanger Huff (1842-1922) and Rebecca Jane (Ireland) Huff (1847-1930), was born in Brighton Township, Northumberland County, Ontario, on Dec. 5, 1867.[1][2] He had taken up farming by the time he married Ida Gertrude Smith (1871-1955), the Prince Edward County-born daughter of Mary Jane Snider and Gesham Smith, on Dec. 30, 1896 in Brighton.[2] George and Ida continued to live in Brighton Township.[1][3] George died in 1951, and is buried in Woods Cemetery in Cramahe Township.[4]
