Biography

Herman was born in 1841, to Johann Huelsdonk and Christine Kostholdermann. He and Elisabeth were married in 1863 and had many children. The Huelsdonk family emigrated from Germany, to Pottawattamie County, Iowa in 1880. By 1892 John and Dora were living on their Hoh Valley homestead,^[1] and a year later the rest of the family, joined them there. Herman died there in 1895.
