Biography

John Hoverd was born in Gloucestershire, England.

The 1851 and 1861 Censuses say John was born in Childs Wickham, Gloucester, which is near Evesham, Worcester.

I have looked at births in Childs Wickham for the period in question and there is no John Hoverd. The only John born around that time with a similar name is a John Howard b 1798, son of John and Mary. If John was actually christened in Childs Wickham, I am thinking this must be him. There are 3 generations of Howards in Childs Wickham and no Hoverds/Hovards/Hovords or anything similar. Of course there is a possibility he could have been born there and christened elsewhere, but if he was, I have not found him yet.
